Painted by hand, inspired by the Mughal gardens.

Jamuni means the deep purple of the Indian jamun fruit, and bagh means garden. These earrings bring both together: a little garden in bloom, painted by hand on silver.

Each teardrop is a small canvas. Delicate sprigs of purple flowers and leaves are painted by hand on a soft white background, in the style of the floral buta motifs you see on Mughal palace walls and in Jaipur’s painted crafts. Every stroke is done freehand, so the two earrings match without being identical. That’s the charm of real handwork.

The painting is framed in 925 sterling silver, with a border of tiny granulated beads and a twisted wire edge, and three silver drops at the bottom that sway gently when you move.

They’re light, colourful and easy to wear. Pair them with a white kurta or chikankari, a pastel saree, or a plain dress or denim for an artsy, boho look. They make a lovely gift for anyone who loves art and handmade things.

What makes it special:

  • Hand-painted. Every flower is painted by hand, so no two pairs are alike.
  • Mughal-inspired floral motif in a rich purple
  • 925 sterling silver frame with granulation and twisted wire detail
  • Lightweight hook earrings, comfortable to wear all day
  • Works with ethnic, Indo-western and boho outfits

Care: Take them off before showering, swimming or applying perfume, because water and chemicals can fade the painting. Wipe only the silver with a soft dry cloth, and never rub or polish the painted area. Store flat in a pouch so the paint doesn’t get scratched.

Note: Every piece is painted by hand, so small differences in the brushwork are part of what makes it unique.
