Handcrafted in India, where pearls and silver have been paired for centuries.

Lehar means “wave,” and these jhumkas are full of gentle movement: in the silver spirals curling around each pearl, and in the fringe of freshwater pearls that sways with every turn of your head.

Each earring starts with a round silver stud with a lustrous freshwater pearl at its centre, ringed by hand-curled silver spirals like a little blooming flower. Below it hangs a dome-shaped jhumka, edged with more spirals and a band of twisted rope wire. From its scalloped rim, a cluster of freshwater pearls in soft white and blush tones dangles on fine silver wire, catching the light as you move.

A gentle oxidised finish adds depth to the wirework and gives the jhumkas a soft, heirloom glow. Because they’re real freshwater pearls, each one has its own organic shape and natural lustre, so no two pairs are exactly alike.

They’re classic but never boring. Wear them with a silk or handloom saree, a lehenga for weddings and sangeet, or a white kurta. They also look lovely with a black dress or denim for an easy Indo-western look. They make a beautiful gift for brides, bridesmaids, mothers, and anyone who loves timeless jhumkas.

Care: Pearls are delicate. Put on perfume, lotion and hairspray first, and your earrings last. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Don’t use silver dip or ultrasonic cleaners, because they damage pearls and strip the oxidised finish. Store in a soft pouch on their own so the pearls don’t get scratched.

Note: Freshwater pearls are natural, so small differences in shape, size and colour make each pair unique.
