One of a kind, made by hand, inspired by the stories of Vrindavan.
Some pieces are jewellery. Others carry a story. The Murli Krishna Hasli brings the whole of Vrindavan into one small piece of silver.
At its centre, Krishna plays his flute (murli), with his beloved cow resting at his feet. Two peacocks, the bird always linked with Krishna, spread their carved feathers above him like a temple arch. Behind them sits a ribbed amulet barrel, and underneath hangs a generous cluster of silver ghungroo bells. They chime softly when you move, like the anklets of the gopis.
Every detail is shaped by hand in the style of traditional Indian temple jewellery, from the fine lines of the peacock feathers to the folds of Krishna’s dhoti. The oxidised finish adds depth, so the carving stands out against the darker silver. The pendant hangs on a slim wire hasli, and the whole piece, pendant and wire, is solid 925 sterling silver.
It’s a statement pendant with a sacred story behind it. Wear it with a handloom saree for Janmashtami, Diwali or Navratri, or with a white cotton dress or a linen kurta for an easy Indo-western, boho look.
