Handcrafted in India, inspired by the carved stone screens of royal Rajasthan.

Phool means flower and bel means a climbing vine. These jhumkas look like a little garden wrapped in silver.

Each earring starts with a flower-shaped stud, its petals finely cross-hatched and centred on a ribbed silver dome. Below hangs a tall, bell-shaped jhumka with a smooth polished top. Around the middle runs a band of open jaali (cut-out) work: blossoms, leaves and clusters of berries winding along a vine, inspired by the carved stone screens of Rajasthan’s palaces. Rows of tiny granulated dots frame the band, and a fringe of silver ghungroo bells swings from the edge, chiming softly as you move.

The oxidised finish adds depth to every petal and leaf, so the carving really stands out. At 5 cm long, they’re a statement but still comfortable for all-day wear.

Wear them with a cotton or silk saree, a kurta, a lehenga for Diwali, Navratri and weddings, or with a black dress or denim for an Indo-western look. They make a lovely gift for anyone who loves classic jhumkas with an artisan touch.

What makes it special:

  • Floral jaali work inspired by Rajasthani palace screens
  • Solid 925 sterling silver with an oxidised finish
  • Flower stud top and a ghungroo fringe that chimes
  • A statement size that’s still easy to wear
  • Works with ethnic, festive and Indo-western outfits

Details:

  • Metal: 925 sterling silver, oxidised finish
  • Length: 5 cm (approx. 2 in)
  • Width: 2.5 cm (approx. 1 in)
  • Weight: 21 g (pair)
  • Closure: push-back stud
  • Handcrafted in India

Care: Store in a zip pouch to slow tarnishing. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, and use a soft brush to clean the jaali work. Don’t use silver dip, because it strips the oxidised finish. Keep away from perfume, lotion and water.

Note: Each piece is handcrafted, so small irregularities are part of its charm.
