One of a kind, made by hand, inspired by the deserts of India.
The bright mirror-work of Kutch, the busy bazaars of Rajasthan, the nine nights of Navratri garba: this piece comes from a land where jewellery is heritage, worn and handed down.
The Rann Utsav choker is made the slow, old way. Deep red cotton thread is wrapped by hand into a sculpted collar, with a black thread border underneath. Along that border hangs a row of oxidised 925 sterling silver ghungroo beads, each one set between little diamond-shaped silver spacers stamped with a star. The beads catch the light every time you move, and they’re made for twirling at garba.
It ties with a braided red-and-black dori and a soft tassel, so you can wear it high as a choker or lower on the collarbone. It comes with matching earrings: domed silver studs with a star bead and a silver ghungroo drop.
This is a bold piece. Wear it with an ikat or Ajrakh handloom saree, a mirror-work chaniya choli for Navratri, or a plain white kurta. It’s tribal and earthy, and made to be noticed.
What makes it special:
- One of a kind. Each thread collar is hand-wrapped, so no two pieces are the same.
- Inspired by the tribal jewellery of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Kutch
- Made with oxidised 925 sterling silver beads, not plated metal
- Matching earrings included, so the festive look is ready to wear

Care: Keep the thread dry. Don’t wash it, and keep it away from perfume and water. Wipe the silver gently with a soft dry cloth, and don’t use a silver dip, because it will strip the oxidised finish and stain the thread. Store it flat in a zip pouch.
Note: This piece is handmade, so small irregularities in the thread and silver are part of its character.
